Before you begin

Straight answers.

Career and license decisions deserve clear boundaries, not hype.

What is Role by Role?

A career-learning platform that turns a target job into a route of skills, credentials, practice, career proof, and small daily actions. The public site explains the paths; the dashboard is where you learn.

Do I need an account to begin?

No. You can build a plan and practice as a guest. Without signing in, progress stays in this browser. Optional email-code sync is separate.

Can I take the SIE without an employer?

Yes. FINRA permits individuals age 18 or older to enroll without association with a member firm. Passing the SIE alone does not register you to conduct securities business.

Is this enough on its own for a securities exam?

No. The finance beta is a practice companion. Use it alongside current official outlines, a comprehensive course, and multiple fresh timed mock exams. The questions are original—not recalled live exam content.

One role. One route. One next step.

Your future does not need to feel
like one enormous decision.
