A current third-party mirror attributed to SoFi says this opening requires existing Series 7 + 65 or Series 7 + 66. It is not proof that the role remains open or that every location uses the same route. Series 7 requires eligible-firm sponsorship; verify the exact live opening on SoFi Careers ↗ before acting.
Thursday · career briefing
Good afternoon.
Let’s build your next role.
One focused step at a time: learn the path, practice what matters, and turn your experience into truthful evidence.
Choose today’s focus
What would move your career forward today?
Pick one small action. You can switch paths at any time—nothing here locks you in.
Take the checkpoint before choosing a date.
Complete the 25-question blueprint checkpoint first. Then use your results, available study time, and current FINRA rules to choose a realistic window.
Building your baseline.
Complete a short diagnostic to reveal the exact concepts standing between you and a passing score.
Today’s route
25 calm minutes.
Three clean wins.
Built around retrieval, not rereading. Every miss comes back until it sticks.
Mastery by exam weight
Your heaviest sections get the most attention.
Your signal, not noise
Consistency and rules worth another look.
Last 7 days
Questions and flashcard recalls completed per day
High-yield rules
Small facts that win points
Progress that leads somewhere
Every learning loop should create proof for the next career step.
Your living career map
The route grows with you.
Study becomes a credential; the credential becomes proof; proof becomes an informed application. Missed days pause the route—they never erase it.
Build your future, role by role.
Role by Role turns a distant career goal into a clear next step: what the role requires, what to practice today, and who can help you keep going. The first complete path is securities licensing for aspiring investment specialists.
Weight the work.
Practice follows published exam-topic weights, so the biggest sections stay visible instead of getting buried in a generic question pile.
Keep every useful miss.
Immediate rationales and the mistake vault turn errors into a review queue. Your study signal is not a pass probability.
Guest-first by design.
Without signing in, progress stays in this browser. Optional account sync is limited to structured study data; résumés and field notes remain local.
Before you study
Securities exam prep, explained.
Can I take the SIE without an employer?
Yes. FINRA permits individuals age 18 or older to enroll without association with a member firm. Passing the SIE alone does not register you to conduct securities business.
Which exams appear on the SoFi Investment Specialist route?
A third-party mirror retrieved September 6, 2026 for an Investment Specialist II opening in Cottonwood Heights said candidates must already hold Series 7 + 65 or Series 7 + 66. That is one employer-attributed snapshot, not a universal or permanent SoFi requirement. Verify the exact live role on SoFi Careers. If you do not hold Series 7, ask whether a separate trainee or licensing role exists rather than assuming this II-level opening sponsors it.
Is this beta enough on its own?
No. The current bank contains one original full-length practice form for the SIE, Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 66, plus a blueprint-balanced 25-question SIE checkpoint. Every form still awaits independent securities-expert review and is not a substitute for a comprehensive course or multiple fresh timed mocks.
Are these actual exam questions?
No. The practice questions are original and are not copied, recalled, or represented as live exam content.
How is the study signal calculated?
It combines topic-weighted practice performance with a small practice-volume factor. It is a study-planning heuristic—not a predicted exam score or likelihood of passing. The full formula is in the methodology.
Adaptive recall queue
Make it stick.
The queue favors high-weight sections and cards you’ve marked “again.” Tap the card or press Space to flip.
Timed question sprint
Think like the test.
Read the last sentence first. Eliminate two. Commit. Then study the rationale—not just the answer.
Mistake vault
Your misses are assets.
Every wrong answer becomes a targeted review card. Clear the vault by proving you know the rule.
Field notes
Explain it simply.
If you can teach the rule without jargon, you own it. Notes save automatically on this device.
Role-to-reality pathways
Choose what you’re becoming.
Start with the role. Role by Role works backward into credentials, skills, proof, and one small action for today.
Your future, made workable
Big change.
Small, kind steps.
No shame loops. No fake urgency. Your plan shrinks when life gets busy and picks up where you left off.
Eight focused minutes counts. Progress should fit inside a real life.

Mortgage loan originator · living career map
Start with employer type.
A covered bank or credit union generally uses the federal NMLS registration route; many non-depository roles use state licensing. Use the official NMLS checklist for your state and employer. This map is self-recorded planning—not verification, legal advice, or permission to originate loans.
Role by Role does not offer SAFE MLO test prep or an MLO question bank yet. Quiz results elsewhere in this app never complete these milestones.
Role proof studio · private to this browser
Turn experience into evidence.
Build three truthful stories you can rehearse for interviews, adapt for your résumé, and connect to the role you want.
The bridge after licensing
A credential opens a door.
Evidence helps you walk through it.
Role by Role helps you shape what you have actually done into concise Situation–Action–Result stories. No invented numbers, no borrowed achievements, and no claim that a story guarantees an interview or offer.
Start with customer clarity—the heart of explaining something complex without pressure.
One story at a time
Customer clarity
Show how you listened, made a complicated idea understandable, and helped someone choose an informed next step.
Think of a time you translated complexity for a customer, teammate, classmate, or community member. Use only facts you can defend.
Drafts are saved only when you choose “Save this story locally.”

Step 1 of 3 · target the review
